Is there a World War II monster movie for most of the whole family?
Yep, this is it: 2008’s Warbirds. Part history, part adventure. During during World War II, Women Air Force Service Pilots (better known as WASPs) flew all sorts of missions, according to this excellent government website.
But this movie is no history lesson. You see, after crash-landing on a remote island with a top secret cargo, these WASP pilots must join forces with the enemy—a stranded group of Japanese soldiers—if they are going to survive an onslaught of vicious pterodactyls. Way to go with a winning concept, Warbirds the movie!
