Feeling inspired from attending the Passion Vista Global Icon Awards, hosted by H.H. Dr. Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe, honoring some amazing humanitarians from around the world. For more info, check out @princemariomax and @passionvista In the first picture, that’s me with my cousin, and also honoree, Shellie Robinson. She had created a non-profit organization, and was there to receive an award and to talk about her work, including the challenges she’s had to overcome in life, and inspirations that keep her going. In the second picture, my cousin sharing a moment with Prince Mario-Max. They had just conducted a wonderful interview that made me reflect on the importance of family and those with whom we are close to in life. Shellie was also able to interview a few others from the event, learning about their experiences and passions. Totally interesting stuff! In the third picture, that’s me on the left, and in good company, sharing a dinner table with the Ambassador of Sikh Dharma, Bhai Sahib Satpal Singh Khalsa, on the far right, and events management director Narendra Pal Singh Kurana in the middle there. Honoring my grandpa and my dad here today. My grandpa fought in World War II, D-Day Invasion, storming the beaches of Normandy. I am always so grateful that he made it through that day. And my dad, serving 26 years in the Air Force as an air traffic controller, and also creating a bilingual handbook for pilots and controllers, helping to bridge cultural differences between Spain and the United States. Fun instrument). The premiere is happening in Louisville, Kentucky, where the director’s father wrote the script many years ago: two-time Pulitzer nominee Joseph W. Oglesby. So from the beginning this was a passion project, and I am so grateful to have been part of it.
