The movie Juno is a happy-ish movie about teen pregnancy, involving such quirky lines as “‘Honest to blog” and “You’re Pregnant? Just like our moms and teachers?”
The movie raises interesting questions concerning abortion, adoption, and motherhood, and how pretty much everybody makes a sacrifice in order to achieve some sort of happiness.
… And while Speilberg’s E.T. features Reeses Pieces candy, Juno equally, perhaps even more daringly, features the orange juice Sunny D and orange-anti-cinnamon-flavored Tic-Tacs.
Strange, sad, and charming … that about sums it up.
